Tensor threads

(Threadlift)

  • Tensor threads

Threadlift is a non-surgical facial rejuvenation technique that uses absorbable poly lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLCA) sutures to lift and tighten the skin. The sutures are inserted under the skin with a very fine needle and are used to lift sagging tissue. This procedure is becoming increasingly popular as it offers immediate results with little recovery time and few side effects.

  • The treatment

The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic (as at the dentist's), and no recovery time is required. However, the patient may experience slight facial disfigurement or bruising in the first few days following the treatment, while the skin recovers. Patients can take Tylenol and/or Advil after the procedure, if necessary, and apply a cold compress to the treated area.

  • Secondary effects

Acute inflammatory reaction in tissues, pain, edema, swelling and bruising, sensory nerve damage, facial asymmetry, scarring, hyperpigmentation. These side effects are generally temporary and disappear on their own. Infection or allergic reaction to the product may occur.

    Sub-optimal results possible.

  • Associated fees

350 / thread (taxes not included)

    (usually 6 threads per treatment)

These costs are non-refundable. If additional treatments are required, the corresponding costs are to be borne by the patient.

  • To be noted

All tensor thread procedures are performed by Dr Haddad.
